Twas the eve before Christmas,
and Facebook was hopping;
the personalized Christmas wishes were being posted so frequently,
I couldn't imagine them ever stopping.
There were also the funny posts-- the ones with the cat's misdeed.
Food, family pics, and recipes also inhabited my feed.
There was a live Santa tracker that had just aired on the news;
but too bad for the kids, he wouldn't come until they went to bed for a snooze.
Elves were being posted doing all kinds of naughty things,
while George Bailey's kid said, "Everytime a bell rings, an angel gets it's wings."
Someone posted something about the Grinch and the Whos,
and another post had Harambe saying, "Merry Christmas" from one of Heaven's zoos.
Then there were the headlines that really embodied the Christmas spirit.
Such as, "Best Buy Employees buy a boy a Wii U, since his parents couldn't afford it."
I'm going to finish my coffee and maybe even give a few "likes,"
all while avoiding the bad news about Aleppo, refugees, and airstrikes.
I'll pray for the families this Christmas who are in need,
and thank God for the 2016 blessings that I received.
I just wanted to take a minute to read all of your posts, because I love to look;
and wish everyone a Merry Christmas-- from my family to yours-- here on Facebook.
